This policy governs the MuniVendor website and eProcurement platform provided by MuniVendor Corporation. MuniVendor Corporation is referred to in this policy as “MuniVendor,” “we,” “us” or “our.”
This Cookie Policy explains how MuniVendor uses cookies and similar technologies on munivendor.com and app.munivendor.com.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, software-development-kit storage and authentication tokens.
These technologies may remember a session, protect an account, preserve a preference, measure website use or support an integrated service.
2. Essential technologies
Essential technologies are required to operate and secure MuniVendor. They may be used to:
- Maintain an authenticated session.
- Remember the selected sign-in or signup state.
- Complete email verification and password reset.
- Return a user from Google authentication.
- Preserve an invitation during authentication.
- Enforce MFA.
- Prevent cross-site request forgery and replay attacks.
- Apply rate limits and detect abuse.
- Maintain load balancing and service availability.
- Remember privacy choices.
- Preserve necessary form or workflow state.
Essential technologies cannot be disabled through the MuniVendor preference center because the requested service may not function without them.
A user can block them through the browser, but account and platform functions may stop working.
3. Preference technologies
Preference technologies may remember optional settings such as:
- Display or navigation preferences
- Notification preferences
- Dismissed notices
- Non-sensitive workflow selections
- Accessibility preferences
MuniVendor does not store passwords, complete Tax IDs, Social Security numbers, full payment credentials or plaintext invitation codes in persistent browser storage.
4. Analytics technologies
The public website may use Google Analytics to understand page use, referral sources, devices, approximate location and general performance.
Google Analytics does not load on the public website until the visitor affirmatively accepts analytics cookies.
The cookie inventory below lists the actual cookie and browser-storage names, provider, purpose and configured duration used on the public website.
5. Authentication and integrated services
When a user chooses Google sign-in, Google may use its own cookies and authentication technologies under Google’s policies.
When embedded card or bank payment fields are available, the payment processor may use cookies or similar fraud-prevention and payment-security technologies. Payment information entered in those fields is provided directly to the payment processor.
These technologies load only when required for the selected feature, except for security technology necessary to protect the page.
6. Security and infrastructure technologies
Hosting, content-delivery and cybersecurity providers may use cookies or similar identifiers to detect malicious activity, enforce rate limits, prevent fraud and maintain availability.
These technologies are used for security and operations, not advertising.
7. Technologies MuniVendor does not use
Under current practices, MuniVendor does not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Cross-context behavioral-advertising cookies
- Social-media advertising pixels
- Cookies that sell personal information
- Authenticated procurement activity to build advertising profiles
8. Cookie choices
The public website provides a cookie preference control with:
- Accept all
- Reject nonessential
- Customize
“Reject nonessential” is as easy to find and use as “Accept all.”
The preference center allows analytics choices to be changed later without affecting essential account functions.
MuniVendor does not use a prechecked analytics choice. MuniVendor does not treat continued browsing as affirmative consent where affirmative consent is required.
If a legally recognized browser privacy signal applies, MuniVendor processes it consistently with applicable law.
Because MuniVendor does not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, such a signal does not change those nonexistent practices.
9. Browser controls
Browsers allow users to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, MFA, invitation acceptance, form preservation and other application functions.
Google also provides tools for controlling Google Analytics in supported browsers.
